Sunday November 8th Remembrance Sunday   Ridgeway Radio was at the Dorchester War Memorial for the Service of Remembrance. The recording was relayed at 8pm that evening. Ridgeway Radio team was Andy Venton and Andy Worth.

Sunday November 8th Remembrance Sunday   Ridgeway Radio was at the Weymouth War Memorial for the Service of Remembrance. The recording also covered the parade from the British to the American War Memorial were a remembrance ceremony was held. As the parade passed the Jubilee Clock, Joe Ward, who served, for many years, in the Merchant Navy, gave his remembrance reflections. Ridgeway Radio team was Peter Foster. The recording was relayed on Tuesday November 10th .

Wednesday November 11th Ridgeway Radio was at the Memorial Gates, Thomas Hardye School, Dorchester, for the School’s Annual Ceremony of Remembrance. Some 2,000 students formed a human square around the ground in front of the gates, as the school’s Roll Of Honour, of students who had paid the supreme sacrifice in war, were read out. Those from other Dorchester Schools whose names are unknown were rembered. In his role as President of the Hardyeans Club, the worldwide organisation for former pupils of the school, Ridgeway Radio’s Vice-Chairman, Peter Foster, laid a wreath on the club’s behalf, along with wreaths laid by other representatives of the School. Ridgeway Radio Chairman Andy Worth provided the public address sound. Andy also recorded the ceremony, which will be aired as the revised repeat of the recording relayed, on Thursday November 12th, made by Heather Foster, who gave the commentary for Ridgeway Radio.

Wednesday November 11th At the same time as the Thomas Hardye School ceremony, Ridgeway Radio was back at the Dorchester War Memorial for the Armistice Ceremony. Ridgeway Radio team was Jim Davis. This was featured in North, South, East and West, people, places and events on Thursday November 12th.

Wednesday November 11th Ridgeway Radio was at Bovington Camp for the Garrison Remembrance Service. Ridgeway Radio team was Mark Blackford.   Mark featured the recording in his Afternoon Show the same day and it was repeated on November 15th, in the Sunday Evening Service 8pm slot.
