Our amazing staff at Dorset County Hospital are going above and beyond the call of duty, to care for the most vulnerable members of society. The NHS is at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 (coronavirus) and our dedicated staff from domestics to doctors, nurses to porters at Dorset County Hospital are doing all they can to care for those most at risk.
Nick Johnson, acting CEO at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust said,
“We are all so proud of our dedicated staff at Dorset County Hospital who are working so hard to help get our community, our families and friends through this crisis. This includes frontline staff working under tremendous pressure looking after COVID-19 patients and also those working tirelessly behind the scenes to support them. They have stepped up to the challenge and we are focused on helping them do their jobs to provide the care which is needed.”
Coronavirus in the UK is still rising and the Government predicts more cases will emerge in the coming weeks. Those who keep the hospital functioning are among the most important individuals in the ongoing fight against this virus.
Simon Pearson, Head of Charity at Dorset County Hospital said,
“DCH Charity has launched an urgent appeal to raise funds so it can provide even more support for staff and patients during, and after, the COVID-19 crisis. If you would like to show your support for the commitment and sacrifice all our staff are making caring for all our patients this would be greatly valued.”
