Once again Ridgeway Radio has supported Children in Need with another fantastic 24 hour broadcast from midday on Fri 19 th until midday on Saturday the 20 th . Organised by Dean, the KFC Co-ordinator and Kieran, the promotional Director. This year’s celebration for Children in Need is special, as it has been going for 25 years. So this year we did a \u2018proper job’ of it!<\/p>\n
Dean started the marathon broadcast with music and chat to start this marathon fun. Then Kieran came on air at 3pm with the battle of the wards quiz, and the Abbotsbury ward won! YES! Then at 6pm Neil baker was on for that special KFC Program. As usual Derek and Jim really got everyone in that laughing mood for the evening show. At 10pm James was on the mic for a children in need late show. Midnight saw the halfway mark and Alex DJ Smith kicked it off good and proper. Gary P, took us through the night with more great music and banter. Kieran was back at 6am for he early morning breakfast. Mike and Cherry took the waves at 8am. Then for the final 2 hours the team finished the 24-hour marathon broadcast with a bang and a look back at the fun we all had.<\/p>\n
The final amount raised is over \u00a3380! A massive achievement breaking last years total!<\/p>\n
